What we have raised and what we will raise

Since 1992, together with more than 350 schools, we have planted more than 510,000 trees in Sri Lanka. Although the scale of planting at each school is limited, the most significant achievement is that the children who participated in the program have developed a spirit of compassion toward nature and other people.

These activities have been promoted by OISCA alumni who received training in Japan and have experience in agriculture and environment, but they too are aging. It is a pressing issue to expand the leadership base by strengthening seminars for teachers as well as human resources development within OISCA.

The OISCA training alumni, who have their respective day jobs, are in charge of multiple schools to provide guidance and coordination.
